Bit of a catch up

Not done one of these in a while, despite having a load of stuff I meant to put up. So here is a pretty random mix of some of it.

A while back we mentioned the A1 Bassline remix competition, entries have been floating around for a while now, not sure any come close to the original but that doesn't mean they are shit. Just that the original really isn't.

A1 Bassline - Girl Thing (Fazhands Remix)
A1 Bassline - Girl Thing (Merk Meny Remix)
A1 Bassline - Girl Thing (NoNewYork Dirty Remix)
A1 Bassline - Girl Thing (Pirate Soundsytem Remix)
A1 Bassline - Girl Thing (Billion Dollar DJs Remix)

This little slice of 8-bit genius is the soundtrack to the best arcade game never made. The only problem with it would be the fact that you could never finish because you kept having to get up and dance half way through.

Anamanaguchi - Power Supply

Was I the only person who never knew that Dandi Wind was in Fandeath? What the fuck?

Dandi Wind - Mafu Cage
Dandi Wind - Searching Flesh (South Central Remix)
Dandi Wind - Searching Flesh (Jokers of the Scene Remix)

This cover is almsot definitely more for Sportsday fans than for Buzzcocks fans.

Sportsday Megaphone - Ever Fallen In Love

This is all heartfelt and lowkey, not exploitative at all. Pretty hard to deal well with what happens when fucktards get hold of explosives but I think this does.

Nitin Sawhney - Days of Fire (feat.Natty)

When all that shit kicked up over whose version of the sony donation christams number one game was best, I feel I was one of the few thinking Buckley should have just been a punk.

Jeff Buckely and Gary Lucas - Malign Fiesta (No Soul)

Welsh B'more remix of a dupstep tune?

Benga - 26 Basslines (Chesus and Rodski's 26 Waistines Remix)

hoorays all round,

Because Kid Sister's debut album is going to be released soon (on the 27th).  It's produced by XXXChange (that one out of Spank Rock), and it features A-Trak, Diplo, The Count & Sinden (and Kanye West but that man is a prick).

Anyway, here's something to get you in the mood.
